Well, hello again! We are well into December already and Christmas is rapidly approaching. I love this time of year as you can probably tell. I’m definitely getting into the festive spirit. Have you done your Christmas shopping yet? I’m all done and can’t wait for the Big Man himself to arrive.
Here at Manfred Sauer, we are getting ready too. Our Christmas cards have all been sent, Secret Santa is sorted, and we are all looking forward to the Christmas party. Keep an eye out for our winter newsletter with lots of useful information, Christmas opening hours and festive content.
As promised, I have been sifting through my holiday snaps so that you can see where I have been recently. I love to travel whether it be at home or abroad. As you can see, I have been to the beautiful town of Shaftesbury in Dorset and I am standing on Gold Hill, featured in the 1970s Hovis bread adverts. The view from the top of the hill has been described as “one of the most romantic sights in England” It really is a sight to behold and worth a visit.
I’m quite happy to jump on a plane for a few hours to see other parts of the world too. When I went to Boston, Massachusetts I had a fantastic time. I was lucky enough to catch a game of baseball and see the Boston Red Sox play. What an experience! It was only right to follow that with a nice cool beer so I went to the Cheers bar, which those of a certain age will remember well from the 1980s comedy series.
My final destination for today (there is plenty more to share with you) is Dubai. If you like the sun, sand and relaxation, you should treat yourself. I went to a wonderful water park, visited the Burj Al Arab, which I understand is the only 7-star hotel in the world and as you can see, I also went on a camel ride with a friend. A bumpy ride but well worth it.
That’s my travel news for now. More to follow in 2024.
I wouldn’t be doing my job properly if I didn’t remind you of my key message “Get Talking”. If you are worried about a continence or urology issue, speak to someone. It could be your GP, District Nurse, our Helpline or a friend. You are not alone!
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone and a healthy and prosperous new year.
Bye for now and don’t forget … Get Talking!
