This week is World Continence Week (WCW), an international health campaign to raise awareness of incontinence related issues. In order to champion the rights of patients to have access to the products and services they need to help manage their condition, you can sign the ITA-TUF Urology Commitment.

Bladder weakness alone affects 1 in 3 people worldwide and is more common than hay fever. Plus, an estimated 6 million people in the UK are affected by continence problems and depend on safe urology appliances every day. Let’s make sure that the UK continues to lead the way in ensuring patient choice and safety and plays in part in removing the stigma that is attached to the issue. We need to ensure that our government supports patient and clinician choice, provides easy access to the products and services they need to manage their condition and that sufferers are not put at risk through ill-advised policy decisions.
